ok Animal..Gunnie...Sabot
Need to pick your brains..for ideas where i might find info..i Started my Pershing Missile Project...I am going to be building the tracked EL (erector launcher) and the trailer EL .the tractor
launcher is based on the 113 chassis..but to me also looks like an m114..just cut down....the trailer looks like a basic drop deck trailer with the hydraulics...The Missile is the easy part of the deal...just another self propelled flyin tube..its everything else that goes with it...i checked Pershing Missile .org..and according to the info there..besides the the m-656 8x8 tractor..this things trailer was also pulled by the hemmt and also an mann t 10..8x8...i didnt know the Army used them (the Mann) that is...but they also use alot of m54 xlwbs and 925 xlwb trucks....as soon as i figure out how to upload pics i'll include one..hope you understand what i need...HHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol
Thanks Ray

Here is a site that has some photos of the 656 and other trucks that were used. http://www.jedsite.info/transport/mike-number-us/m656_series/m656-ptspp/m656ptspp-intro.html

Ray - I've been planning one myself. Here's some links I've found useful for modeling the Pershing Missile System (if you don't already have them):
Six pages of Pershing Missile System photos
Pershing Missiles
Article with some more useful photos
And a decent 1:35th scale model of the XM474 Transporter from Mike's Model Madness
Hope this helps...

The link to the XM 474 is cool. I have never seen this vehicle before. But now that I have, I am going to have to build one. Thanks for sharing Gunnie.
