AFV Club tracks? I thought you weren't priming stuff anymore? Looks good the gray needs to be a litter darker though with a cross on that turret to boot. :-)

Bryan,
Very nice model. Looks quite accurate. I like the loader's hatch. Is that the Italaeri turret reworked?

Are you also working on an M4A2? I could have sworn this was an A2.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys..its truly appreciated.
Alex, I have started using primer again as I have found it's a neccesary step before painting to find flaws etc...See you can teach an old dog new tricks LOL. and the tracks are Tamiya Rubber bands Liberato-The tarps on the engine access hatch (they dont cover any vents at all) are actually two air Identification with one being Flourescent yellow and one is Cerise. Mike- the turret is actually the beatiful CMD early T23 with a Formations Early barrel. Martin this is going into a Diorama actually and if you find my earlier thread you can see the pics of the dio as well. Rick..Nope bud,,but I have one now..im still debating it..but I have to think fast cause Im painting the base and camo this week. Shermie. If you go into my gallery or read my build review of the DML Sherman M4A2 you will see the one your looking for bud India- The commanders periscope was frequently left off on the all around vision cupola so Im just gonna leave it off..but good eye Thanks again guys.
Cheers,
Bryan

Maurice,
I usually keep them on. My next step is to spray the entire lower hull in black as well as all the recessed panel etc. I prefer to paint pretty much everyhting on the vehicle. I have never had an issue and it works really well for me.HTH
cheers,
Bryan

Looking great so far. I love the little details like the chains etc. BTW, what do you use for primer?

Hey Dave,
Thanks man...I use Tamiya Primer as it sprays very smooth and when dries it shrinks right around the detail parts and holds really tight. Great stuff.

Bryan

Bryan,
What did you use for the tow cables? I'm looking high and low locally for some nylon string that's the appropriate diameter but no luck yet.
Cheers,
Chris

That looks great! What did you use for the cradle for the cooling .50 cal barrels? Are they PE? If so, what else came in the PE set?
Off the immediate topic, but for tow cable, has anyone used the wire that older picture frames are hung with? It is a perfect diameter, going by the fact that it fits neatly into Formations cable 'guides' for the left side of the M4, and also is the right colour ie. steel!

I've used the picture hanging wire a couple of times. It works best for me to cut a length, take the ends in a couple of pair pliers and flex the heck out it to work the stiffness out, and then superglue the connectors... or expoxy them if I'm going to be mixing up expoxy anyway.
