Hi all,

Too bad, something went wrong with the decals. I used gloss coat....micro sol....just the way I normally do it (and it works) but now obviously it didn't.

Heavily silvered decals! (more than this pic shows) I hope weathering will take care of it for some part......we'll see. If not I may remove, partly repaint and "redecal" the tank.

Anyway, here's an update pic. Decals applied, paint chips added....next step is a wash and then my first time using pastel powders for weathering

New pics will follow soon but school is bugging me with a lot of work for the moment....

It doesn't look that awful to me.
Nice build, I'm eager to see it weathered.

No the pic is being taken from a rather good angle....side pictures show it much worse

But well......to abandon the project for just that reason....

I've just applied a wash....drying now...

Yeah, I can't see anything wrong with it! I think it looks just fine! It really looks good Martin, who made it? I'd like to get one to go along with my M-60A3. Seeing yours brings back some memories.

Now if they would just make a Gamma-Goat.

You're going to like using the artist chalks I think.

It seems like you can get some really nice subtle shades by using them and seems a little more natural.
...to me anyway.

Very nice Martin...seriously, I think it looks fine.

It's the AFV club kit. They come with 2 kits, 1 Vietnam version (mine) and the M88A1 version, also with decals for a German army version.

A nice kit, although not the easiest one I've ever had...(doesn't make it less fun to built)

Martin, looks awesome to me! Very nice job. Really catches the "feel" of the pre-pattern paint vehicles. I'm not sure when I'll get around to doing mine, but when I do, you can bet I'll be asking for advice!!

And Steve, I'm with you all the way on wanting a Gamma Goat! I sent Dragon an e-mail and got zilch for a response!

Now THAT was fun.....just applying some pastel powder here and there....the M88 looks a bit Vietnam red now but well, look at it as a real work horse...they get dirty as well.

I've taken pics but before I put them online I'm gonna have some breakfeast
