this is Verlindens VP1120 engine bay set. Now is this the right one for the Tamiya Sherman Early Production kit ?
This is the tank I wish to do using the Tamiya Sherman early production kit as you recommended in my other thread.
So does it fit for this particular tank? I still need to get a one piece Transmission cover and a low bussel turrant as well. Any ideas where I can get these as well please.
thanks

The Verlinden kit you picture is correct for the Tamiya M4 kit. The kit includes the low bustle turret and the one piece transmission cover by the way. You don't need aftermarket for that.
It's spelled "turret" by the way. The TAmiya kit is very good too.

Thanks guys I did not realise the Tamiya kit had the turret and one piece transmission cover as well.
I will keep the TWS engine compartment in mind Kelley I only asked about the other as I can get one here in Australia without having to pay bankfees for overseas currencies. I do not have a credit card.
Cheers

If my memory serves me right then the Verlinden set drops straight in without any chopping or even filing Cliff, so it would be a safe option here.

The Verlinden set is designed to fit in the Tamiya hull, but you need to omit a few pieces from the kit, so don't build it first and then buy the engine.......
You'll find some extra reference on the engine handy as Verlinden's instructions are up to their usual standards.
At the risk of increasing your blood pressure, maybe I should mention that the bogies of the Tamiya model need replacing as they are a later model to the ones fitted to the real M4 'Early' (but really Mid). I swapped mine with an Academy M10, which is also a useful source of grousers, which you are going to need to duplicate the tank in your photos (they're the objects stowed on the front and rear of the tank in the photos)
