Won a Dragon Panther D on ebay. Waited patiently for a couple weeks...no kit. contacted seller. He got with Post office who of course was no help as package was sent parcel post and no insurance. So I figure..OK I didn't insure it my own fault. bid and won another one. 4 days later there are 2 packages on my door. The guy I won the first one from sent me another one using Priority mail. That is above and beyond. Of course, now I have two. Anyone in US interested in swapping my extra Kursk Panther D for a Dragon T-34/76 or JS-2 kit.? If so, PM me. I looked at the kit I'm keeping...love the in color directions. It also has individual links and thin resin sideskirts. Got the Tamiya grill screens for it, now just looking for a cheap metal barrel and maybe if I can get it cheap the Cavilier diamond pattern Zimmerit.

Great to hear eBay is still alive and kicking, I thought I would have to join "EA" to break me of that habit then the modeling bug kicked in and it really got bad. What "cured' me was my last buy, the guy only sent me 1 model of the three I bought, I have a very expensive jeep. Although I had alot of great trades with some nice people, I now buy my models from reputable sellers (on line of course).
That first guy you dealt with, is the type that will keep eBay going, good for him
Maybe I'll take a peek again

Sorry Steve, I can't help you out on the trade department, the only Russian stuff I have is an old Italeri t34,

Wouldn't the right thing to do be to return one of them to the seller? Ask him to send you money for shipping and return it.

I think the sentence everyone has over looked is:

Quoted Text

bid and won another one

The way I read it is the first seller sent a second kit to replace the lost one..... decent guy.
And the second seller sent his, and the both arrived the same day.

you hit the nail on the head the first time Dave. 2 different sellers the first guy felt bad about the kit getting lost and wanted a happy customer, I didn't know he as going to do it. He sent a note saying if the first kit ever showed up just keep both....Oh my gosh...then I would have 3 of them....YIKES...So if you run into a seller called Roadcar...he's a great ebayer

Roadcar?Cool!I have booked him into 'My eBay' for 'favorite sellers'.Just can't have too many of them you know.FYI I read somewhere that the Zim coating didn't appear until after Kursk battles.CMK/Hot Barrels has decent gun tubes at fair nice price.Hometown Hobbies has a lot in stock.
cheers!

Sorry, my mistake. Proper grammar might have avoided the error. Perhaps the seller learned that trying to save money on shipping is more costly in the long run. I don't mind paying for priority mail, as long as the seller sends it priority mail and doesn't send it parcel post and use the extra $2 he saved as profit.

I have recently started adding a note to seller when I buy on ebay to please send me email with tracking number when you ship. I hate sitting there for 3 weeks wondering what's up , but not wanting to appear to be too pushy. At least 4 times I've sent an email out (making sure to be very polite) and have the package show up the next day. The POst office and their 4 - 10 workdays have turned into an idol promise.
