This a King Tiger I built for someone. It's been a very long time since I built a King Tiger.

Hi David,
Looks like you did a nice job, good and clean build. The only things I see that you may want to consider are the tool clasps would probalby be painted the same color as the camo (the shovel and sledge clasps look to be yellow but the camo is a different color) also the tank looks very clean but the scrapes along the fenders suggest some use so maybe dirty up the tank a little bit. These are just suggestions don't take them the wrong way as you have done a good job on the tank. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Robert

Yes, you are right Robert. I guess I missed the clasps thats on the green. I was trying to depict a Tiger moving on a road in the beginning of Ardennes offensive. I didn't place any "mud" just the painted ones. Should I paint mud outside the rear mud flaps and skirts? The wheels and tracks I left in gloss finished since the road would be wet. The turret, hull sides and skirts have the usual scratches, rain and rust streaks, and mud. What else can I do to make it more dirty?
Thank you,
David

Hi David , Your KT looks great. Marvelous job on the camo and the construction is very clean. As Robert has pointed out , you need to dirty this baby up mud would be the way to go for Ardennes. I would go with a little mud on the outside lower edges of the track guards, and loads of it on the inside and tracks.
The one track guard missing looks out of place, maybe a nice deep couple of grooves on the guard in front on the space would suggest the tank rubbed up against a tree or other vehicle and tore off the guard.
Love to see this when your got her "dirtyed" up
Bruce

Hi David,
Since you have already glued everything on and I find it difficult to really dirty things at that stage, perhaps just a "mild" dirt/mud job would do. Try some earth colored pigments in the appropirate areas, and maybe a few light passes of thinned down buff paint through the airbrush. Just remeber you can always add more dirt, but taking more dirt off is hard. As for the mud on the outsides of the skirts, airbrush some light streaks of dirt or dust. Keep up the good work.
