Thx a lot!
it's 40cm x 30cm, that's about 1 ft x 1,3 ft
for the masonry I used a box of a Cisco router !!! Technology can help :-)
What part of SW of England are you? I've got friends in Torquay !

been to your town, years ago
you should exercise by observing: walls are not red, bricks are not uniformly colored, tree logs are not brown, people's faces not pink, etc... :-)
also (but that's my opinion) do not use pre made houses, bridges, trees... enjoy building'em yourself, you'll be surprised by the effect

It's 1:72 but you got me fooled with the first picture in the beginning! Those figures are painted very good!
The dio is busy indeed and there is much action in it.
The only thing I would advise you to do is to place some wooden or cardboard sides on the dio, to cover up the white foam and to make it totally finnished.

Nice lil' town!! I love Devon and Cornwall, I go there every few years...
I use almost zero cost materials like old boxes cardboard, foam, musk, rubble, silicon... really dirt cheap

Thanx for all the nice comments: I am finishing it making a nice border with bread paper bags of my favourite "panetteria" (bakery), dipped in 60% water + 40% white glue and then painted brown (like the interior of the river).
I used:
Italeri: Sherman, Dodge, US troops, German DAK, German paratroops, German pioneers
Hasegawa: GMC truck, some sitting and standing US troops
Materials: styrofoam for the ruins, dirt, resin glue for the poddles, resin glue + silicon for water, musk + wire for trees, toothpicks + Lego doors + dirt + twisted wire from a Spumante bottle (hick!) for rubble, dirt + white glue for mud.
Dio is 1/72, brush painted with a mix of Pebeo, Maimeri, Revell and Humbrol paints.
When finished I'll post better pictures!
