I just received this kit and holy moly is it packed!! I opened it to get the instructions out and now I can't fit everything back in. It looks like everything but the kitchen sink is included. The box must weigh 3 lbs!!!! I am going to love building this kit. So many choices. So many options!!! SHERMANS FOREVER!!

It's not quite advertised as a 3 in 1 but there are at 2 turret options and two bogey options (horizontal return roller and straight return roller) so it's at least 2 in 1.

It's out? I was just beginning to get a decent budget... well, it'll probably take "some time" (guess no more than 6 months) before it reaches Sweden...

Hello Andy,
I just saw it freshly stocked at my usual online Store. They are spipping for free around Europe for orders above Euro 40.
So why wait 6 months :-)

I got it pre-ordered from http://www.greatmodels.com.
The version I got is the M4A3(76) VVSS Battle of the Bulge which is one version of Thunderbolt. Apparently there will be a plain version of the M4A3(76) VVSS as well. A second Thunderbolt in the M4A3(76) HVSS style will be out too.
Here is a link to a previous thread that explains it all.

I picked mine up yesterday at the LHS. The contents look great and Alan is right, it is hard to get it all back in the box once opened. Now how to get it past SWMBO after all the recent purchases at Hobby Lobby...

I ordered mine from http://www.militaryhobbies.ca/ last night so hopefully it will be in next week.
Then I just need to find time to even crack the box.

Well, guys..... I just bought a second Sherman...... YES, I actually bought this new kit today at the LHS for the rather low price of $34.95....and didn't have to pay for shipping. It was the only one sitting on the shelf surrounded by German Panzers of all sizes, and just crying for me to take it home....... and now is sitting next to my other Sherman kit, keeping each other company, no long sad and lonely.

Got mine yesterday in the mail from Great Models. I think the box must have been vacuum packed or something because now I can't get the lid back on! This thing is loaded!

You can see the actual turret they used as a prototype either on the Ardennes '44 site or see my photos and notes of the same turret on Tim Streeter's Modeling the US Army in WW II.
They did make one small error in the conversion from the ASF-G oval hatch turret used on their M4A2 to the CFM-H round hatch used here. They kept the same bottom piece, which, while correct for an ASF turret, is wrong for a CFM turret. You can see the differences in contours just above the race in the photos the two 76mm turrets in my article. There are other photos on Ardennes '44 if you dig around.
This should be a relatively easy fix with a file and/or putty.
HTH,
