Hello everybody,
What would be the color used to paint tank's and other AFVs interiors? I am building a Sd.Kfz. 222 in Afrika and would like to know which color to use for the interior?

I don't know about half-tracks like that, but many tanks are painted in a light color, usually white or an off-white/gray. This is to allow crewmen to see around better inside the tank in the dark. I think some countries painted them an interior green.
For some open top TDs and American halftracks, like the M10, the color is the same as the exterior originally was painted (OD in this case). This would apply to any interior walls or structuring that would be visible to the outside from a distance - a visible white interior would be an inviting target to a plane provided it wasn't snowing!

I think the standard German interior color was "Elfbien" which translates to Elephant Bone meaning ivory.

Probably a dumb question, but what would the colour be of the inside of the hatches. Exterior colour or the interior colour .

Andy: Insides of hatches are almost always painted the exterior color.
