Hello guys,

What would be the color scheme used in Russia for the tank ferdinand ?

Dark yelllow or grey ? I want to use the tank in a dio for a summer/spring setting...

Hi Francois,

It was first used in '43, by then the order was already given to use dunkelgelb (yellow) as base color.
As far as I know no operational Tiger (P) hull (Ferdinant, Elephant, bergetiger (P)) was ever painted panzergrau (grey).

If you want to be historically accurate, Only 1 Sdkfz 181 Panzerkampfwagen IV (P) ever saw combat. It was Vehicle 003 of the 653rd. It was painted Duncklegelb with Rotbrun and Olivegrun cammo. (Dark yellow with red brown and olive green)

Maybe a type-o, but you probably mean the PzKfw VI,
that is the Tiger. The vehicle discussed here is the Ferdinand/elephant, SdKfz 184. Based on the hull of the porsche prototype for the tiger, this prototype never made serie production. The hulls where used for the ferdinand/elephant and bergetiger (P). The henschel prototype for the tiger eventually became the famous tiger:

Exactly, but Sticky is right only one saw combat.. and wasn't very successful.
