So I was digging around the internet for information on converting an M3A2 to an M3A1 Halftrack. I happened to find this webpage that has halftrack parts for sale. It has some good pics from what I can tell of parts. There are even pics of partial halftracks so you can see more than just what is under the skin. I know that some of them are pretty worn out in the pics, but hey, maybe that will help with rustin ideas too. You never know. Anyways, I hope this helps someone out there. Here is the link:
