Hi Matt,
It is only available in 1/35th and 1/72nd as far as I know. There are several books that cover the 251/22, and a few websites that have information.
For a list of some of the books check this link out and scroll all the way to the bottom

for the web check out

Matt, so far, there has been nothing announced in 1/48th for the 251. I assume you are talking about the 251/22 Ausf. 'D' which is available in 1/35th scale from both AFV Club and Dragon...
As far as reference goes, we have also published a number of reviews which would be very useful if you are thinking of building one:
The first is for a 'walkaround' of the 251/1 Ausf. D:
Rossagraph Book..
The second, is a modeller's guide to the 251 series:
Osprey 251 Modelling Guide
The third, looks at the basic vehicle, from the 251/1 - 251/8:
251 Guide..
The review section HERE on Armorama is excellent, while we don't cover everything, we are doing our best to provide as wide a coverage as possible, best to look here first and then look at P.M.M.S...Jim

Jim,
I agree that the review section here at Armorama is fantastic, however I was trying to quickly show Matt the number of reference books that are available on the 251, and not the article itself. A very helpful feature that Terry Ashley includes at the end of his reviews.
regards,
Robert
