This is an update to my Hetzer pics from April. Finally got some time to work on it. Since the last posting, I have done the following; Tracks have had several washes applied with acrylics then oil paint, wheels have been given a wash of oil paint. The body was touched up with the airbrush to cover the tiny splatters from not thinning the paint good enough. I then sprayed the entire model with Future Floor Wax. I applied decals, then sprayed a mist of the base coat Dunkelgelb over the entire model to tone down the colors. I then applied 2 oil washes in different colors. I have more weathering to do, and will eventually have this on a vignette of some sort.

Hi Brent,
Looks good so far, I have always liked the Hetzer, had a chance to climb around inside one at Camp Mabry in Austin, not much room inside, but I quess they weren't built for comfort. Keep up the good work and please post more in progress pics.
regards,
Robert

Looks great so far Brent. Can't wait to see more pics of this beast after it hits the real world and gets all "dirty"

Brent, you have a nice looking Hetzer there. I think you have done a good job on the paint and am looking forward to seeing it weathered. Did you happen to have any troubles with the kit tracks? Kevin

Kevin,
The tracks were not that bad to put together, but I read as many articles on the big "A" as possible. It took 30 minutes to complete one side. Using the testors blue label non-toxic liquid cement allowed an additional 15 to 20 minutes of forming time around the idler & road wheels. For me this was the easy part...I hated the sanding of all the individual track links.....
