I must say that is quite an impressive piece of work you have there. The detail and quality of your work is amazing. That is a huge dio as well. Hats off to you.

Nice update.
I love the technique you use for door jams. The combined L bracket type pieces really make nice corners. Great technique

Don't forget a threshold on the door (I know there is still lots to do).

Keith

This is truly amazing and the details are just remarkable. It's difficult to decide what to focus on there is so much to look at and take in. The building is a work of art and could easily stand on it's own. But you've captured the theme and it looks like a still frame right out of the movie "A Bridge Too Far". Can't find praises enough to do it true justice. PLEASE keep us posted on this work. Totally outstanding!

Another detail could be light switched and electric outlets. Looking great/

hehe two men, one thought. I noticed that too. Great technique indeed.

I must say I get the feeling that this is turning into one of the most (if not THE most) impressive Arnhem dioramas I have ever seen. The composition is simply awesome..everything is in a perfect balance. You can almost feel the thread coming from the tank underneath the bridge ramp.

Awesome Keith !!

Hi guys

thanks for the kind words, i'll keep trying to post as i go, and hopefully it should be finished ready for Euro in September. The Diorama seems to have taken on a life of its own, its continually evolving as i progress what started out as quite a simple idea has grown up wards and outwards.

Because the diorama runs on so many different levels there is so much detail to include, i have to keep working on various different parts to keep me sane.

The park gates i added to fill an empty corner, they are currently shut as the pillar nearest to the right edge has yet to be glued in place. So i have not seperated them so i can gauge the opening correctly. They will be open and all bent up once complete

I have also started on the figure painting currently around 20+ but these will be wittled down as the fianl layout is set.

hope that answers some of your questions

happy modelling

Just wonderful, awesome. That masonry bridge abutment with the curved "front" and the bldg. etc. are just super. I feel the colors you pick will be very important IMO, as I think they will have a lot to do w/ how you lead the viewers eye thru the composition. Thanks for taking time to do these update photos for us. What an inspiration. Whewwwwwww.

Nothing new when I say this looks awesome (and it does!!!) I especially like the different levels in it. No doubt this is going to be an eyecatcher on the Euro!

Congrats on this one!
