Hi all!!

I consider myself quite a beginner in diorama building...I've uploaded some photos of some of my work in the members gallery...It would be great if any of you guyz could comment on it (good or bad)..and provide some pointers to improve on my dios...I'm planning to start on another dio and your pointers would be helpful in my next project.!!! Thanx!!

Whoa! If that's "beginner" in diorama, then mine would qualify as "sucked" :-) :-)
Great work sir! I really like them

WOW I like your work.
You made great datails on your dios and they don't look like made by begginer.
There is only one thing you could improve (if it isn't matter of quality of photos) - I think that figures on some of your dios are too shinny (f.e. this with field kitchen).
one more thing: please add more photos of your 1/16 Tamiya's and Dragon's figures. These in your gallery are so dark so you can't see datails well and we (if I can say for all of us on armorama) would like to admire your work.

I went to your gallery and had a "slide show". Like the others have stated here on the forum, I would not call you a beginner. Really first class work. And you're certainly not afraid to tackle the difficult tasks, i.e. all the number of figs and vehicles, all the details that you put in each of your presentations. Thanks for sharing. Eager to see more,

Very nice work you have there-from what I can see-What ever you did when you took the picture of the overall view of the R&R dio, you should do that on all your pics. Then re-submit them. It looks like your a very talented modeler, you just need to work on your photo skills.
BTW-don't feel bad, a lot of people-including me-have trouble with mastering the camera.

I like 'em a lot. Very fine pics, and what great fig's. I specially like the trench dio with the para's. Great job.
Some critique: I like dio's with a lot of action - figures in motion (know what I mean?!), vehicles etc - but as long it don't get to crowded. The Stalingrad approach-dio could perhaps be a little better, if some of the figures were removed. As well for the first dio - the one with the Gullasch-kanone. Loose some of the fig's and I think the dio will be even better, than it already is.
But that's my opinion.
As I said - great job.
Keep up the good work

Hi all!!...Wow..I did not expect those kind remarks from you guys! I would think that I need a bit more work to improve on my skills..Appreciate all your comments, especially those that pointed out my flaws..At least now i can work on improving on those points..I do have problem with the 'Shiny' finish. Is matt spray the only way out? I have more dios that I will love to share with you guys and will upload them soon. I will make sure the pic quality is better! Thanx again!

WOW!!! I am a beginner as well and I just hope my work will be 1/10th that good excellent dio’s
Thanx man!..I still consider myself a beginner coz I've never used an airbrush before! If u notice, all my works are hand painted or spray painted. No cash to invest on an airbrush set!! I'll continue to consider myself a beginner until I learn to use an airbrush. I see u're coming up with a winter scene dio. Keep us posted on the developments!

A product is not judged by the tools that made it but by the skill behind it and the quality of the final product. Just because you haven't used an airbrush doesn't make you a beginner. You have talent.

Thanx Paul! I've just uploaded pics of one of my earlier Flak dio. It's the Tamiya old kit. Thinking of doing another Flak 88 dio but in an anti-tank role, probably the new Dragon kit...How about you? Anything on your workbench?

Thanx Alan for the encouraging words! However, I always admire those intricate looking camos done by airbrushing. Can't get those effects w/ hand painting. I did try to improvise w/ Spray can and cardboard cut-outs before to get some kind of decent camo patterns. Do u airbrush?

Those are great dioramas Psyfool. They are even more impressive due to the fact you do not have an airbrush! Hope to see more work from you posted soom!
