Comrades, Its been over a month now since our illustrious campaign ended in victory. Yet we still have no ribbon on our chests to proudly display. Comrade leader GIBeregovey I respectfully ask you how much longer must we wait to receive our campaign ribbons?

I totally agree with Comrad Waterboy.
Just send all those bureaucrats to the Siberian Gulags, puppet the Party Leader and award us with the ribbons from Kremlin.

I had PMed GIBeregovey about this before. He is very busy with school. I don't know when he will get around to it. He hasn't been on the forums since May 31st.

I don't think anyone can else can issue them. We will have to see what is possible or just forget them and enjoy the fact that we built what we did and write it off. This isn't the first campaign that ribbons weren't issued.

So lets post what we want to do here and get together and do it.

Scot, did you PM-ed GIBeregovey recently? Actually, issueing the ribbons is a ten minutes job...

Perhaps we can ask the campaigns moderator (GunTruck) what to do with this?
I jumped in as 'interim' recently for the Panzer!! campaign where the campaign leader was MIA just before the end of the campaign. You are able to issue the ribbons to the participants than also.

Was there a ribbon designed already? Otherwise, that's a nice thing to do while waiting...We sent in different designs and choose the best??

It was a great campaign in which the participants showed their enthousiasm and some realy great models and dio's showed up. I would regret it when it's not remembered with a ribbon...

Paul I PMed him 2 weeks ago. He has not been on the boards since. I agree we can do something. Why not see if we can PM him again? If he doesn't reply then we should go to Guntruck and ask what we can do for sure.

John I do like that ribbon. A very nice job, I would be proud to have that on my profile page.

Hiya Guys,

I also, as a impartial observer (I should have gotten my stuff done but alas...western sabatours. We have sacked those in charge of sacking... :-) ) I can talk to Guntruck. I was also supposed to be the second in command of this campaign, but Thomas seemed to have things in control so i left it to him.

Also, I think the banner needs to be amended to the proper proportions of 50 pixels wide by 20 pixels high for ribbon-style awards. Max file size: 1000 bytes And it needs to be in .gif format.

As long as all approve, I can fix this all up quickly comrades!

Comrade Jacques!
I think that's a good idea.

Comrade John: I like that ribbon very, very much, but I to fear it's too big... (Shame!!)

Perhaps putting the Sovjet symbol behind CCCP and the half of the height will get you about on the maximum size?

Ribbon Size is currently 49x43. The Project X is 40x48, so I'm not so sure about ribbon size guidelines being adheared to. Just food for thought. I can re do it if necessary.

Sticky, I'd go ahead and redo it. I am not quite sure how Project X was able to have a medal like that (I think it was sized as a medal and not a ribbon), but the standard now seems to be toward the 50x20 ribbons. Like Jacques said, make sure it is also a .gif. You won't be to upload it to the site, but you can upload it on the MSN Armorama site.

Comrades,
I too am in favour of the ribbon proposed by John and believe it should be issued forthwith.
Actually it would be rather ironic and in keeping with the campaign theme if a collective decision by its participants awarded the ribbon.
Power to the Soviets indeed!

Comrade John, i propose you issue the ribbon forthwith or our great nation might collapse and become independent states.
Long live the Soviet Union

I too agree comrades. This is a ribbon worthy of our blood( darn exacto knife) and tears. Morale must be maintained or a revolution could occur amongst the troops.

I too believe that since the brave men fought well, they deserve to hang the medal on the chest. And also that is not that much of a big job to do it . I like the proposed one very much. I also think there is a previous post called parade or something like that on Campaigns forum that all the participants have posted what they did as final entrie .
Lets finish that off
