Would it be possible encorrect to put some mushrooms in my
Vietnam bush on the ground. Did someone saw them their
during the War periode? If they where there what kinds?

Many questions for a small detail on my diorama.

Don't know about Vietnam but China has a lot of dried mushrooms. They are not the typical white mushrooms found here in the US but with dark brown/black caps

I imagine you would get Fungi rather than mushrooms, in tropical conditions you get these huge dark beige things growing on trees and dead timber,in aussie they call them elk horns but there are many types. Why not try a google search for tropical fungi.

Mushrooms abound the world over.
There are certainly mushrooms found in the tropics - certain parts of Thailand are famous for their recreational fungi after all...
I see no reason why there shouldn't be 'shrooms in VietNam, but at a guess I'd say they're not typical of the flora and fauna in the country - you'd be better off getting your jungle plant life and vegetation looking right first...

I`m not a Biologist, Botanist, Mushroom expert (I like champignons) But looking at the conditions a mushroom grows best in I would say you would find a really suitable atmosphere in those countries. It is warm, A good moisture level, In wooded areas it is dark enough. so yeah perfect mushroom country if you ask me
Planning to have some GI`s on a "trip"? (of course I mean patrol with that )

i fully agree with FAUST on the conditions of the mushrooms could grow. Actually on my trips to Thailand and in jungle expeditions i ahve seen some kinds of mushrooms rather dark brown to black color than gray that we usually see in gREECE. There are definately mushromms in nam and as i am starting over my Dio also , i ll be stickin them some corner as a detail !!!

With the mushroom existence and types pretty much confirmed I thought I'd just like to add that placement is important. It may seem obvious but you might want to locate them around damp rotting matter (rotting logs, heavy ground litter, etc.) and usually though not necessarily under shade. Its not uncommon to find them at the banks of streams. Mushrooms are mainly transient in that they're around for a short time sometimes as short as a day, appearing after a heavy shower and die by day's end after releasing their spores.
