Hi my friends,
I wasn't satisfied at all with the previous result so I decided to change everything. I removed the big tree because I didn't like it and I removed almost all the groundwork and replaced it with Heki grass. (Thanks for the review Kevin )
So here is the result - it is definately not finished but I just wanted to share it with you. I tried to make a spring setting of it. I'm so out of inspiration at the moment and I really don't know what to do next. So if you have any ideas, please let me know.
Thanks for looking
J.

It looks great
if you want to make a spring setting maybe you should think about adding some flowers.

Fantastic - the color variations in the grass make this diorama come to life. The contrast of the multiple colors and the one color KV make this a joy to look at.
The only thing that doesn't quite sit 100% is the tree. It's ok, and the odd angle is cool, but there just isn't enough detail on it for my tastes.
Wonderful job.

Thanks for the comments
Slodder, you mean the burned tree? I was thinking to add some new green offshoots (?) to the tree to add some 'life' to it. Would that be a good idea?
@Marcin: A very good idea to add some flowers but I don't know how to make them So if someone have some tips...please share

Truly amazing!
The ground work looks very realistic.
The problem as I see it is the huge empty space.
How about adding a German vehicle?
Maybe a Kettenkrad or a Kubalwagen with one or two solders looking at the destroyed tank?

If u need small flowers get to ur nearest florist and ask for babybreaths or these small flowers that go to brides bouquets. Theyre what i use in dios But also dried tiny flowers are usually available everywhere
Ur tank looks awsome, some new offshots of the burned tree would mean that the damage has been done enough time. Then maybe the tank had to be more rusted. U have to balance this before u decide

Maybe you should add some Figures, for example some German soldiers posing for a photo or something like that...

Agreed 100%. The KV and dio base represent outstanding work, the scene just needs some "life" added to it, ie some Russian or German figs looking over the KV. This is beautiful work here Jurgen---adding a couple of figures will top off a wonderful scene. Congrats, and good luck on what you decide.

Burned tree! That doesn't come through in the picture. Got it. That makes it better. The tree supports that. From what I can see though, the ground under three (I cant see much) doesn't appear to have any black soot. I see where it's brown and grassless, I would suggest that as work continues you add a bit of blackness to support the fire.
I realize you're not done yet so keep up the good work.

Jurjen i also think you need a few figures and maybe a small German armored car, a nice recon group checking out the destroyed Russian tank, the space to the write is a little empty you could put something there. I still think it looks great.

Looks great Jurjen. I really like the Heki grass. I think it need a couple of germans inspecting the damage or removing the machine gun to finish it off.

Jurjen, you have a wonderful and real looking dio going!!!! I am so glad you have given some Heki grass a try. It looks wonderful. Which grass did you use? Also how did you like the ease of use? I agree with the others that you could soot up the ground around the tree some more and also that to make it more spring like you could add some small flowers. If you need any help in that part you can pm me if you like. Its great so far, looking forward to seeing you add things. Cheers Kevin

Hi guys
Thanks for the kind replies.
I used the Heki Grasfaser Nr. 3369 Wildgras Dunkelgrün combined with Heki decovlies. Then I gave it several washes with all kind of spring colours, like yellow, red mixed with green. Normally I always airbrush grasses so it was a big expirement for me.
I found one fig wich I really wants to use because it is a p*ssing soldier so I will place him at the tank. And maybe some other figures and probably a kübel. But I'm so 'not rich' at the moment so I can't afford to buy new subjects I will post some new pics soon to show what's behind the tank.
Cheers

Jurjen- Going great guns!! Think for balance you could address your dio in the way the others have suggested; mebbe including justa couple of figures on the opposing corner, resting under the large shrub or even ignoring the tank completely!! Mebbe you could throw a track and have it sprawled upon the grass towards the front of the dio... The tank hit by a round whilst stopping for the crew to repair said track?
That said, I think your groundwork is exactly what I'd strive to achieve!!

Hey, great job on this. Everything looks great-the ground work, and the tank, but I have to agree with the masses on this-you gotta add something to the empty area behind the tank. Do that and your all set.
