I'm not a diorama person but for the 'gaps' in-between the sponges, you can add sand or mud or whatever. Dont let it show up bare! Makes it looks like the dio was slapped in at the 'last-minute'.

Overall, it's a nice presentable dio! nice mohawk!

I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what's happening in the dio, it doesn't appear to have any story that I can understand.

Your figures look good, are they DML's screaming eagles?
The boxes you have laying around are good also, the thompson looks really good
A suggestion for furture dioramas would mainly be the groundwork, to achieve more natural realistic looking groundwork you might want to avoid the technique you have used, although it was a nice idea and may have looked better if they were all aligned and next to each other, and not overlapping.
try using plaster or wall spackle as the basic groundshape, paint that up, then apply some static grass and the likes, a good company for grass is Heiki.

Ok guys i am changing my submission. I will be submiting the NAVY SEALS instead. I think my 101st is a disaster. I am starting and rushin for this for wednesday

After the disasterous 101st airborne attempt at a diorama, i have completed and its my final submission of the US NAVY SEALs.

Is that base a peice of toast? Sorta looks like one...

i Think i spend more time making the base than the model itself. I used like a whole can of brown spray and a whole lot more of clay.

Hey, good efforts on both parts! I understand that the first one was a couple of screaming eagles getting ready to blaze off a tank. It's kind of open ground for a couple of guys, but they were probably tired. The ground was okay and I like the idea of using sponge, but you have to blend them in or it takes away from the dio. I am sure you can fix it to make it look more subtle.
The second one is typical Seal Team stuff. Standing around, posing for pictures. I'm kidding. I knew a couple of EOD guys and they were very tough. Seals must be even more so. In fact, a Tech once told me, "Our divorce rate is terrible. I live out of a Seabag. All I have is my brothers." I actually felt bad for him.
