A suggestion for furture dioramas would mainly be the groundwork, to achieve more natural realistic looking groundwork you might want to avoid the technique you have used, although it was a nice idea and may have looked better if they were all aligned and next to each other, and not overlapping.
try using plaster or wall spackle as the basic groundshape, paint that up, then apply some static grass and the likes, a good company for grass is Heiki.
