Hi guys. Well it has still got to have all it's washes and pastels added but this is progress to date. I was trying to get these finished as far as possible for a display of my models this weekend at a collectors mart. here in Gympie.

I will display these as unfinished.

Comments/nitpicks are welcomed

more pics of the whole build may be found here - http://photos.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php/cat/14666

thanks

Cliff,

Wow thats nice set up you have there. Love the look of it. The tarp on the gun looks fantastic. You miss alot of detail of the gun itself but the tarp really makes for a different looking model.

What did you use for the tarp??

Did you redo the rear engine deck on the M-35? I had heard that the kit supplied one is not accurate?

Thanks for sharing. Always enjoy seeing your work.

.

the tarp is milliput. The engine deck and exausts were replaced with Tamiya ones but apart from that it is all OOB.

AFV club did themselves a dis-service with the M35 prime mover kit. They need to add a sprue of parts to fix the faults so that you do not have to buy another kit just to get the right parts.

cheers

Hey Roo:
Thnx for sharing your pics. A weakness of the AFV Club suspension is that they need to be glued down in place. On the shots of your left side, the frontmost and rearmost roadwheels are "floating" up and not flush with the ground. Your float is due to the track tension of the kit. It should be an easy correction with some super glue to reposition the roadwheels downwards.

They look very nice Cliff, The Tarp is a little Shiny but as you say you still need to add washes and pastels.

I didn't notice the tank wheels floating, but see that you had the same problem that I did with the gun. AFV Club don't allow for any aticulation in the bogie under the gun, so when you display it hooked up for towing one pair of wheels is off the ground - they obviously thought that everyone would model it in firing mode!

When it's completed it's going to look just fine Cliff, despite the couple of comments.
