I have read quite a bit about using Mr Surfacer in an airbrush to simulate the anti-slip surface on AFV's. Since I don't own an airbrush using the product out of a jar is questionable.

I saw a spray can marked Mr Surfacer 500 and wonder if it works the same as the airbrushed Mr Surfacer?

If so, does it cover in one coat, or several light coats? I am using acrylics paint over it so I am not worried about the interactions of the paints, or should I be?

Thanks for your help.

Frank, Mr Surfacer 500 in a can works the same as if it coming out from an airbrush. One coat should do the job and acrylic should have no problems biting on Mr Surfacer coated surface.

I agree with Arg. You should be fine with the can. I have used it and I sometimes paint with Tamiya and have had no problems. Use can also use Mr surfacer 1000 to fill small gaps. It sands very easy. Just a pointer. I have never tried it however the Guy at My LHS said to try it, And he is very talented, I have seen his work.
