Took a trip to Historex today and they had the MMiR book in stock. Have not had chance to read it yet, but have had a quick flick through it, looks very impressive with some excellent war time photos, good hints on techniques and from what i saw of the models, this book is easily on par, if not better than, the MMiR Tiger book.

If you have an interest in Hetzers,JadgPanthers,Jadg IV 70's etc etc then i would recommend this book to you. Even if you only have a passing interest in these vehicles the book is still interesting from a technique point of view.

Hi, As with their Sherman and Tiger books, I'm quite sure this will be something of a 'must have,' even if I had never built a Jagd- anything. Well worth the money just for the reading and viewing.

Thanks and tke care, Sgirty

Picked this one up last weekend.

Overall, it's a good book. The thoroughness of the chapters varies-- the Hetzer chapters are very detailed, while the Elefant chapter is much shorter.

I'm very much looking forward to the second volume on open-topped Jagdpanzers.

Hopefully, Ampersand will publish this like the Tiger book, so it's readily available. (Not like the SHerman book...)

The Sherman book was readily available. It stayed available long enough for Squadron to drop the price on it. I remember thinking, "if only I waited, I would have saved $4" (bought it for $18 and change and the price went to $14 and change in their monthly flyer). It only became really popular after it went out of print.

Just so there is no mistake, the Sherman book has been out of print for a while now. It IS being re-edited/expanded/modernized and (with luck) should be out this fall...

I won't be rushing to buy the Jagdpanzer book although I will be buying the next volume on the open-topped TDs..Jim

Hi

Hmm I picked this up and although I liked it and read it, it somehow left me feeling somewhat let down. I have no idea why because it isn't something I can put my finger on as to the reason.

I have the ARV and TIGER books and cannot wait for the long delayed STuG book. I keep looking back through the ARV and TIGER books but at the moment I have no desire to look at the Jadg book again. Odd since I like Jadg's.

I can recommend it.

Tom
