I'm working up a quickie dio idea that is set in a forest scene and I was thinking of using twigs off of a tree outside in front of my house. How do you protect them from drying out and turning brown? Do you use a sealer?

I use dead twigs all the time to simulate logs and tree trunks. Never had a problem using them as is. Make sure they are dead and dry and mold free

If you are trying to preserve their natural color, dry them using glycerine.

You could just paint them green or whatever color you're looking for.

Will the leaves stay green after being treated with glycerine?
