with a pill box in the works, and a pile of sandbags waiting, i was wondering where berbed wire would have been used at normandy

would it have been draped around an MG nest, or staked up along the beach as a landing obstacle. Would there be any around the front of the pillbox?

Behind that seawall in the 5-10yards wide section of the defense-line (obviously on the "dry" part of the beach):

ok, thanks

any idea on what would make up a typical seawall?

also, im assuming that a pillbox would come in at about the cliff edge or slightly before, is that right?

Hi,

Some of the smaller bunkers are on the shelf and inserted on the wall, with the bigger ones for artillery batteries at the top of the cliff.

I know that there are sites with pages that have layouts of fortified positions, that I'll try to find and post the url here.
