I finished my Hasegawa Jagdpanzer IV L/48 'late version' for the Garry's Tank Destroyer group build. I built a kit that I received in a lot of kits I won on eBay some time ago. The kit was missing two pieces, the right front schurtzen bracket and the left rear hatch. I scratched a battle damaged bracket out of a piece of strip styrene and fashioned a hatch out of a piece of styrene sheet and a bit from the parts box.
I thinned out the fenders and banged up the right front one just a tad to go with the scratch built bracket. There is a curious divit for a left side machine gun cover that has to be puttied over and took a bunch of applications to finally level it out.
The kit was built OOB (except for the two missing parts) and I attempted a winter white wash as depicted on the boxart. My inspiration to attempt a winter scheme came from the May 2005 Military in Scale magazine where a modeler built the 1/72 scale Revell Panzer III and used a winter scheme.
I used the article as a guide but sort of went my own way. I was not happy with the way the wash did not adhere to the markings. I wanted to depict a dirty winter camouflage with just a hint of the dunkelgelb showing through.
Here's what I ended up with:
This is what I was going for:
My Father's Day present to myself today will be a new digital camera. Hopefully I will be able to replace these photos with better ones later in the day.

Robin,
It is hard to tell what a good job you did with the pictures, have you tried taking some shots indoors. Good luck with the new digital camera I look forward to seeing some better shots. Some early versions of the jagdpanzer had two mg ports on the front slope. Any fit/track problems with the kit? Have fun shopping for the camera, hopefully you can find some good sales for Father's Day.
best regards,
Robert

Very nice indeed Robin! There's nothing cooler than a white washed tank destroyer, which are my favorite type of tank. Good luck with the digital cam!

The new camera's charging batteries right now. The tracks with this kit are black vinyl, easier to work with than the stiff silver tracks they used to come with. The tracks are still almost useless with no center guides, just a line through the center. I considered buying PE tracks, but I didn't want to spend extra money on a kit that was already missing pieces.

Hi Robin, i think the tank is very nicely done!
Maybe it did not end up the way you wanted it but it still looks good.
Can't see much of the tracks though.

Yes, in my excitement to try out my new camera, I just took a couple of shots on the desk at night. I didn't think to add some more lighting to illuminate the running gear.

Well I think it looks fine Rob. The only thing i seen was you could see the Border on the decals. I think it has a good paint job and nice detail, especially since it is 1/72 scale. I am not sure some of the people who responded have realized that.
