Nice find... some of the pics are pretty gruesome thugh (especially that shot up column on the edge of the city). Looking at these pics, my guess would be they are all in Germany/Western Poland (Berlin and vicinity of the Elbe) assuming they were taken at roughly the same time.

WOW! I could go on & on with questions as to the proper i.d.'s of some of the vehicles & their arrangement in some of the shots.
I find this one very interesting

The turreted armored car above looks like the Panhard armored car made by RPM, but I am just guessing here. The spare tire doesn't look like the RPM kit.

HI
Some interesting shots. Goes to remind me too as to how stark B&W images really are.
Thanks for the link.

I just wondered if anyone could read and translate the russian text to find out some details about the place and exact date...

Brilliant pics jim Thanks for posting
Rob. Although the Armored car shares some similarities with the Panhard. The wheels actually tell it is an Italian vehicle. The Vehicle that is shown in the pics is an Italian AutoBlinda 40/41 with a 20 mm gun
To compare
Panhard
Autoblinda 40/41
I also love the Dummy 88 Battery. One of the few pics that show that the Germans were using this sort of Deception tricks.

Why I can translate! Very interesting photos - I haven't looked at all of them yet, but the mock up gun is set in south west Frankfurt area. I'll translate as I look at them.

Pavel,
over on ML on guy had a colleague translate some of the pics. Says they were from the S.W. of Berlin.
Some I guessed to be from Berlin itself and the Elbe. Just wondering if you can find any claims for their guess that a number of these pics show vehicles from 12th army, sent to relieve Berlin.

To clarify - it is Frankfurt (an der Oder) - east of Berlin, currently right accross the border from Poland, not Frankfurt am Main

Harm, many of the pics are from south west Berlin, including the Autoblinda from Jim's picture - but the dummy artillery piece is from Frankfurt.
