This was going to be my entry for the tank detroyer campaign, but I think I am going to build the 234/4 after seeing others 234's on the site. The camo is laid down, some postshading is done, now I will gloss it in preperation for the decals. You may wonder why the paint job appears so white, I tend to overexxagerate the faded look prior to weathering as I find it is easier to darken the paint job than lighten it. Anyway here she is

comments are welcome good or bad.
Best regards,
Robert

Thanks fellas, no dio just a small base from Bryan Gray aka ex-royal, the camo was free hand using my trusty old paasche h single action. The inspiration for the camo came from Bob Oehler's fantastic 251/9

Fantastic job on the paint What brand of paints do you use? And what do you do to lighten up the colors?

Hi Chad,
Thanks I use Tamiya brand paint and thinner, sometimes windex though. The green was a mix of nato green and field grey, lightened with j.a. grey and buff. The yellow was dark yellow with a touch of desert yellow and buff, then lightened with buff and white.

Robert

Robert,

I thought I saw this before, but with the engine access hatch modified for a 251 late. Was I dreaming that?

I was going to modify the hatch to the one piece and lower hatch with no raidiator cap, but after having to saw the thing in half to get the upper and lower hulls to fit, I decided to just add the recessed screws around the hatch. Maybe next time if the pieces fit.

Amazing. The shading of the yellow base color and the green camo is outstanding.
