Just ran across this while browsing Track Link, good news in that it should be available real soon.
http://www.track-link.net/reviews/k1514
Unfortunately it does not mention the type of tracks included.
regards,
Robert

Step 5 has one add the glacis and front towing points. The next step has one add the engine deck door and rear vertical plate. Tracks are covered in Step 7. First, disregard the upside down rear tow hooks. Here again, we see the ModelKasten influence. Although the tracks are not workable, they do have hollow teeth and are the correct width. Be careful as they are handed. The track pins should face the outside of the vehicle. These tracks also suffer the same issue as the older K series ModelKasten hollow teeth in that one side of the hollow tooth is wider than the other. See the photo. If this bothers the modeler, both ModelKasten and Friulmodel offer workable tracks with better hollow teeth.
You must have missed it Robert MK tracks non workable. Oh well better that then rubberband tracks.

Hi Robert,
I plan to post the review here as well (probably visible tomorrow - Tuesday) with different text and photos.
I am beginning my build so ask questions if you have them.
Regards,
Saúl García

HI, Yes, I just read this earlier today and it sounds like a really impressive kit. Guess it's going to be one of those "Must Have" kits here in the near future. And it seems like this may just be the start of a series of Pz. IV kits from this company in the future. Unfortuntely it most likely be another one to stack up in my growing pile of cardborad and plastic that I seem to be developing here in the house since I've gotten aquainted with this Infernal Machine called a computer a year or two ago.
Will be looking forward to the article of Mr. Garcia's on this kit here in the near future as well.
Take care, Sgirty

Hi,
Do I understand correctly from the review, that you have to add the bolts to various assemblies such as the final drive housing and track tensioners, separately? If so, what is the reason for this, other than, in my opinion, overcomplicating the build process? If the tracks would need to be replaced, I'm tempted to go for the link and lenght resin ones from Accurate Armour, which are great to work with, great value for money and don't need too much cleaning up.
Thanks for posting the review, I look forward to the review of the Dragon offering, to make a side by side comparisson. And then I'll probably still end up buying both... :-) .
Cheers
Henk

Hi Saul,
Great news, I look forward to reading your review. One question I do have is how did you get your kit so soon. I know of several people who have it on pre-order, ie hobby link Japan and it is still not listed as in stock. Did you get a special review edition
Scott thanks for the heads up I did not notice the modelkasten tracks mentioned in the review
regards,
Robert

Hi Henk,
Yes, the kit is exceedingly complicated. Can you say tweezer lauch?!
However, I view this as a modeling challenge to be savored :-)

Hi Scott,
The track-links are NOT ModelKasten tracks, they are made like the older K series ModelKasten.
Regards,
Saúl
