Hey lads. Here hopefully is a pic or two of my 'side project' M4a1 which I know has bits broken, unpainted unweathered etc.
My main aim was to get some feedback on how the weathering came up on the turret moreso...

I think it looks good though I think we would need some more photos to decide better!
Cheers and happy modelling!

It generally looks good. Thnx for sharing. May I offer an observation?
you have a periscope installed in the commander's hatch. However, the top part is non-existant. The top part would have protruded out past the spring lock rectangular hatch. I hope this makes sense.

Brad ,
What he means is the periscope cover on the hatch
would be opened, with the periscope peeking through the cover. with the fwd part of the periscope facing fwd.
hope that makes sense.

I think your wheathering is great , the texture of the hull is perfect. Nice subtle approach to the rust , just enough to show the water puddles, great. One thing I would suggest is, since this sherman looks well used, the weaker parts, such as the light guards, jerry can holder, etc., should show more wear some rust from chips and scratchs or even "pranes" and dents (a little go along way).
keep the pics coming

Thanks for the feedback! Roy, Todd, it seems there are no flies on you lads! Good observation on the periscope... Merely an oversight but one I may not have rectified without your assistance
As for the little dents scrapes etc. I think they are a good idea, esp. with the brush guards. Many pics I've seen have even shown them squashed flat... I'll get stuck in! :-)

Thanks again lads... Tazz, the sherman is the early M4A1 Dragon kit, with a little (ok a fair bit;) of scratchbuilding... Have dug up another pic
(please excuse the filthy cutting mat!)
