Hi,
I have never made a base before and I spotted some stuff called Model-Roc in a craft shop. All it seems to be is gauze impregnated with plaster.
Before I start getting messy and ending up with plaster on the dog!! is this good stuff to use?
Thanks for your help,
CB

Chris ....great stuff to play with.........tricks of the trade.......ensure the framework is not too open (sags when drying)............make sure you w'on't have to alter things too much-----(cutting openings)........do not get too wet-just damp--(cut off what you need and holding it on each end draw through shallow dish of water keeping reasonably flat )---lay on area --DO NOT -try to squeeze out excess moisture -results in big "yeugh".......once its on ....mould and wrinkle to suit land scape---OH---wear gloves-murder to get off hands....either staple edges or little tacks (staples best inside then lift up and over)
Used it for many years building "railways"---sssssh!!! -----dont let i t be known that I dont just build clanky things :-) :-)
If you get any probs ping me
aye

great stuff
easy way to use plaster, just put a light plaster smear over top when your done for a smooth finish with no holes
