I just got this little beauty (well, the two of them) and I must say I'm very impressed- they completely blew the Revell of Germany out of the water. Plus you get extra goodies just like their large-scale kits...
Hats down to Dragon!!

The Revell HMMWV (x2) is very good indeed, one of the most crisp 1:72 kits I have seen, so how is the Dragon one so much better ?
Also, what extras are included ?

The Revell tires are rather anemic and the .50 cal is molded upside down.

Separate doors, 6 weapons in total (2 Mk19's, 2 M249s and 2 M2- with tripods), a little photoetch...
Revell is fine, but Dragon is really good (if they would only get rid of the photographic instructions )
Cheers!

Dragon's wheels and tyres are enough to blow the Revell HMMWV kit out of the water - and then there's the better parts breakdown, optional weapons, markings, etched brass, etc.
I believe that the tripod you refer to is actually for a TOW launcher that will be included in one of the future Dragon HMMWV kits (unless the .50 cal tripod has undergone a radical re-design since I did a familiarisation course in the early 1970s).
The next Dragon HMMWV kit will feature two M1114s with the same weapons options, opening rear hatch, and new weapons station but I don't think the TOW is included.

Dragon kits in general seems to blow every competitor away when it comes to 1/72 scale.

I have both the 1045/1046 tow and 1114 but, this kit only has the M2 and MK19a2. Both kits are beautiful. the T&E is for the Tow. I hope Dragon comes out w/the M998. Verlinden/Warriors is showing item WA72010 USMC M998 crew-three figures-will need 3 sets

I haven't seen the TOW versions yet but I have two sets of the M1114 and one of the M1025.
I am slowly converting one of the M1114s into a Special Forces GMV.
I was disappointed with Dragon's omission of the M240s from the M1114 kits and I have requested replacements through DragonCare.
One of the problems I have found is that part A35 prevents a good fit between the chassis and the body. It can be left off (if you don't mind seeing daylight) or trimmed to make a better fit.
Speaking of daylight, the gaps behind the front wheels could be problem with the GMV conversion as the more open nature of the vehicle may make them visible. A scrap of plastic card should fix that.
As I am typing this, the pain in my finger tips reminds me of how hard it can be to fit the tyres to the rims, particularly when painting seems to make the tyres less flexible.
Great kits though and I will be after more.
It's interesting that Verlinden/Warriors will be offering USMC crew figures as HardCorps Models has several USMC figure sets under development. They will be for Humvees, LAVs and Bradleys.

Pretty much the same things I found in my review, here at Armorama, of the M1045/M1046 kits.

I built the 1025 and have two boxes of the 1114s waiting for me in the states and plan on getting the TOW some time next year. I skipped A35 and filed it down to used has the Gunner's platform. In 1/72 the appearence of something is sometimes better than accuracy, lol :-)

David, are you talking about the inclusion of the radiator in the kit, or are you leaving the part out, also, what is hardcorps web site, would like to see what there rendition of figures will be. My Warriors figures are on back order. May have to do a review and comparison as I am currently using CMK's LRRP and airborn figures. Heres a hint on installing the tires to the rims, install the same way a mechanic installs the tires with the machine, the use of a wedge, in this case a flat toothpick works great

Yes, as Gino points out in his review, the radiator prevents the chassis and body mating properly. I trimmed the part to get it to fit rather than leaving it out.
The figures that are/were to be marketed by Hard Corps Models can be seen here under construction:

It's quite possible that they are the same figures as VLS/Warriors will release.
Abbie's use of A35 for the gunner's platform is interesting but I wonder why both Revell and Dragon omitted that part from their kits.
Your tip about the mini tyre lever is one I'll be trying when I next tackle those slippery little suckers!

Have you heard of a release date for the figures from HardCorps? their website doesn't have any hint of them at all
