I saw one last year in an exhibition and it was quiet impressive. Of course, the builder update it a lot bu after his comments it's a very good working base.

I'm currently building the Tiger and the detail level of the kit is pretty low.
If I compare my Academy 1/35 Tiger and the Bandai they have about the same detail level,
actualy the Academy is better in most parts.
But The fun is that the size gives you the oppurtunity to add lots of your own details,
and since the size its much easier to make parts.
Big is beautiful!

I have the kit not bad for what I paid for it. But as large as it is should be easy to detail they do make seperate track links for it in metal from japan real good looking but big bucks. How much are you paying got mine for $125.00 straight up no tax. Cause box was opened

You have to watch those older large scale kits. Not a whole heck of a lot of detail in them. The recent collectable toy tanks in 1/18 scale have better detail. I remember buying the 1/15 scale Glencoe Walker Bulldog. It came with a beautiful decal sheet that would have been a shame to put it on the finished kit. The was virtually no detail on the kit what so ever. I've seen a Bandai kit built (PzKwf IV?) OOB a long time ago and the detail wasn't even up to the old Monogram 1/32 scale PzKwf IV.
