I am in need of some information. On the Panzer IV H/J the storage compartment that is connected to the back of the turret, how is the hatch kept closed? Is it by the same way as their tool boxes and their signal flare boxes? How are they kept closed? Does anyone know of any pictures of these latches?

They are kept closed with simple latch on top of right and left, altough I have seen variations on diffrent tanks. If you do german armour really cheap books are teh suqdron series on pz 3 and 4 great pictures. Try panzer-net.com they may have pictures and/or links.
