Hi Guys. despite my pretty heavy program and variousother problems i movedon a bit. I made the second piece of the base forthe big Nam Diorama. And i lay it here sideby sidewiththe first part tosee the whole size of the dio.

I have putted some elements over for comparison of size . The tent and gun pit are not ready ofcourse, just some basics onthem. Need a lot of work but as i work on 5-6 projects togetheri just putthem to see.

i also included 2 pictures of the lil dio Dwarf thats helping me out with airbrushing my bases with basic colors while i do other things. Thats the way to save time !!!!!!!!And she is pretty good at it !!!!!! She has her own short legged bench and her toolstowork

Iam almost done with garthering the kits for the dio. I just miss 8-10 resin figures and 1 boat , but i hopewith time i ll find them , i already have 30 figures at hand and 10 of the kits i ll use .And Armorama guys have helpedme a lot in that !!!!!
Thanks forlooking guys . the one year countdown for finishing it already counts a month minus so i haveto run !!!!!!!

Woah! that thing is huge, but, with the work I"ve seen from you I don't think there will be a problem with the lack of details.
Where do you plan on putting a boat in that diorama?
great work

Woyo my friend

T
hat is just really HUGE! I will definately follow your in progress reports so keep us updated. And well done on your daughter :-)
Just one comment, the dio base seems to be really 'heavy' so make sure the base is thick enough to compensate the weight.
Cheers !

That is, a massive project. You'll need to add onto your home just to display it.

Big, bigger, biggest... man oh man, this is Large with a capital L....
looking good so far Costas. I hope you can keep the focus on it until you're at the finishing line. I always have big fears for these large products myself. After a couple of months I start having doubts and the speed goes out of my build...
Whenever you feel the modelers blues coming up on this project, the turn to Doctor Armorama... we'll revitalize your feeling in no time

Great start !!

geesh! thats huge! i could only dream of pulling off a diorama that huge. My "huge" diorama 17x24 inches is now only like 15x17 now due to cutting out dead space. I guess the only advice i can give you is to view the dimentions of your diorama as temporary becase you dont want to say,
"wow this is huge...let me throw in some extra stuff to fill up space"
Once you do this you begin to make your diorama less interesting and to the point. I think the strongest pieces ive seen are focused around one scene rather than a widely dispersed array of scenes. This diorama is shaping up to be great...because your little 'un is helping of course!
Happy Modelling!

You should add Nefeli to your profil, since she's the one doing all the hard work. :-)

Now that u have seen the real modeller of the family all my secret is gone
Woll be posting on everything new on that dio guys.
In a fast calculation i did, and with most things going smooth i ll be needing more than 2500 hours of work to make this one. That means many overnights and no sleep at all sessions!!!!!!!! Clock is ticking !!!!

Brother, it is looking good so far. I am glad the pieces fall together and into place for you. It is also good to see Nefeli taking an active interest and honing her skills on the AB. Give her a hug from me for such a fine job. Cheers Kevin

wow, ambitious build...
keep going, i would really like to see this get completed!
it's very sweet to see your little girl helping out but i do hope you have some breathing masks for her when she does the spraying...even the least toxic of paints will still have small particles undesired effect on someone so young.

Costas´ modelling area was burned out, around this time ... maybe this is one of the things that went up in smoke!
If it wasn´t damaged, Id be doubtful if there will be any further progress, as he has become very involved with figure painting, and sold off a lot of stuff!
