Here is the Esci's (Italeri reboxed) Panther A.
The tracks are horrible, with absolutely no details on the inside. The tools are oversized and difficult to fit but it is still a decent kit considering it's age.
I tried pre-shading on it but it's not that visible.
Left out the marking as i wanted this vehicle to be a generic panther.
Again, sorry about my photography skills. In person, the model has quite some dust streaks. I guess if i wanna show it in the photos, i have to darken the streaks which would make it unrealistic, oh well.
Comments and criticisms welcomed.

Great pictures and very nice model.
Remember; good pre-shading is always very subtle. It's there, but it looks so natural that you don't think it's there!!!

Nice weathering! Did you use a wash for the vertical streaks? How did you do the paint chipping on the cupola's machine gun rail? Did you use a straight brown wash on the wheels?
I'm working on Revell's 1/72 Panther A right now. I'd like to steal some tips fro you!

It looks to be a very respectable build. I still like to tinker with the older Braille scale kits. You don't feel like you've ruined anything if a new technique doesn't work out.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the comments.
Mac : I used an Acrylic wash (even though they say oils are better, though i dare not try). First, i used a sharpened toothpick to pick up heavily diluted paint and then stab a 'dot' at the top turret. Then i'll use my fingers to 'pull' the paint down creating the streak (Better to practise on scrap first.)
2nd method is, you can also used a sharpened toothpick to drag the 'dot' down. Takes practise too!
For the MG rail of the cupola, i just rubbed on graphite.
For the wheels, i only did a heavily diluted pin wash of Tamiya German Grey.
Yup Robin, that is true. I got this kit for just 5 bucks! So what the heck, might as well try some new stuff.
Ricky, i doubt i have any more time to model. My days are all burned out. I'm lucky if i got time in the weekends!
