I saw a Real Model kit of the M934/M935 Van Truck but not sure what it is .When I search it gives me very limited web pages to only 2 and that only gives a description of: it's a electronics station of some sorts.
I want to do the kit for a OIF dio and was wondering if it is used and does anyone have a picture of the real thing. Or a web site I can look at before I buy this expensive kit from Real Model. I can get it for 65 bucks is that a good price. It looks interesting and would really get me into trucks.
Does any one make a inside for the truck so I might be able to do a open truck dio. Or where would the manuals for this trucks interior or are they all setup differently by each unit or command HQ I guess.
Is this the same truck made by Italeri shelter truck they make or is it anther type of M900 series of trucks.

The truck you are talking about is called an expando van. It is a box that the sides push out on and is mounted on a 5-ton chais, M935 in the case of modern ones. Here is a pic of one mounted on an M800 series 5-ton chasis, the box is the same.
They are still used by some units. The 3ID DIVARTY (Division Artillery) TOC was made up of 4 of them during OIF 1. They are usually only used at BDE and higher level TOCs. The interiors are pretty much up to the unit to set up how they want. Generally though, there is a large desk in the middle where all the radios, computers, and commo gear goes and the walls have map boards and status boards on them for keeping track of units and data.

Hi,
The van can be put on a M900 5tons chassis. But its not the same wheels base as the M923 Italeri kit.
