I finally finished my UM Models Braille Scalle BT-7A. I had a terrible time assembling the link and length tracks (though this is my fault and not that of the manufacturer). I added mud, dirt, and grass to cover up these flaws. These pictures are certainly not the best, my apologies. I painted it with several shades of Soviet Green - again these are somewhat muted by the poor quality of the photos. I used brown and black Speedball acrylic inks for washes. Once again my pastels disappered after an application of dull coat so I made up for it with acrylic paint.

Being only my second 1/72 scale AFV I have to say I was challenged by this very well engineered and detailed subject. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks . . . Kevin

Hi Mac,

Your AFV looks great, the chunky mud looks good. The rust on the exhausts looks mighty realistic.

Your upper hull doesnt seems to go well with the lower though. It is too clean!

Maybe add some chipped paint or some rain/dust streaks. Or you could also give the whole AFV a light filter of the 'mud' colour you've used.

Thanks for the compliments, SpiritsEye! I agree, the upper hull needs more weathering. I was actually afraid to do anymore as I was trying to prevent overdoing in this case. Lesson learned!

Thanks...Kevin

Hi Mac,

Overall build is very nice. The weathering of the lower hull and running gear is commendable. I have the same comments as Danny on the weathering of the upper hull. It needs some dusting and highlighting.

Nice one,
Wanze
