Here is the start of my SWAT breach. Not sure how I'm going to dress up the interior. Maybe I'll ad some surprised bad guys. I have a grenade that I'm going to put on the floor as a spent flashbang

A door has been added trim around the door and window opening have been added. The breached door actually has the doorknob blown away leaving just a hole. You can barely see it in the pic.

Man, it is looking really good. I like the setup and the bad guys sure would be suprised!! Reminds me to finish up mine......NYPD outside a building. Hope it comes out as good as yours.

THanks guys. The SWAT guys are actually various figures from Dragon Navy Seals, LAPD SWAT and British SAS. Some of the figures in each of those kits just didn't seem to fit an breach so they were left out.

I like it. The figs looks great. A few technical suggestions if I may-
Get your guys out of the fatal funnel. I know it's hard to replicate with such a small room (especially since it's a partial room) but by the time five guys got into that room. the first two would be well on the way to, if not already in, thier points of domination, namely the corners. (One long, one short) Your three and four are one step in and one step to the left or right of the door, with one pinning the door.
The other point is that two of your guys are way too far into the room. The farthest from the wall anyone will get is about a meter, unitl the room is clear. Since you've got guys in opposing corners, shooting one meter off of one another.
Last is the kneeling guy. He's still got his primary weapon up (as opposed to the guy behind him who's transitioned to his secondary) so he's got no reason to be kneeling, unless he has fallen down. He won't be able to stand back up until someone physically grabs his body armor and pulls him up.
Again, I like what you've done, it's just a matter of repositioning the figures into admittedly less aesthetic locations.

Thanks for the insight. I know exactly what you mean about the entry positioning. I have been looking at entry stacks and slicing the pie breaches and tried emulating one of these. However given the narrow range of the figure poses I decided just to do what artistically looks best.

Minor repositioning of the figures.
Added hinges to the breached door.
Added wood flooring
Created a burnt spot on the floor where the flashbang settled.
Added fugly curtains to the drug house.
You can barely see it but there is a hole in the upper pane of glass

Alan, I don't know much about positions during room entry but I really like the dynamic feel of your figures thanks to how you've slanted the wall and placed the figures. For me it feels as though they're still "in motion" after busting the door down.
Also very nice details by adding the hinges in. I think its good just the way it is without adding a Tango in but I reckon you could still squeeze in one at the front left just near the fallen chair, maybe with his hands covering his ears or eyes after the flashbang.
If your'e thinking of adding some debris, an opened newspaper on the table along with some bottles or soda cans is a thought along with an ashtray and cigarette butts. A small picture frame on the wall is another.

My next step is to add graffiti, trash and other assorted crap in a drug house. I am also going to add some weapons and maybe cash and drugs on the table. I actually have a figure who has a shotgun who blew the knob off the door. He isn't done yet.
It's slow coming and deadline quickly approaching but I'm having a lot of fun trying to do a civilian dio instead of a WW2 that I'm used to building.

Nice start.
My only recomendation would be the postioning of the
men.
The guy out the front kneeling down looks out of place in a dynamic entry. Perhaps he could be just out side the door covering their entry point - a trailer man.

No you're right. I cut the window not quite square and didn't realize how bad it was until I started gluing in the window frame. Since I had already skim coated the walls with plaster I just got lazy and decided, "It's a freaking druge house. So what is the window ledge is broken."

Having been in more drug houses and "shot" houses than you would believe, I can tell you that you are on your way to a really cool diorama.
Now, if you have room, a filthy mattress on the floor would give it that drug house lived in look. Also, it is not uncommon for all windows to be boarded up except for one small opening so that drugs can be passed from inside to out with letting people in.

Thanks for the boarded up window idea. That will be a must-do. I considered a mattress but there wasn't any room. I added a salvaged jeep bench sitting on wooden blocks instead.

lol i had to laugh when i saw that jeep bench!!! that is a total possibility! i was at a place where the guy was working on his motorcycle IN the living room. it was really special when he started it up! cant wait to see what you do next!

Very nice work Alan, it does carry the Dynamic entry feel to the viewer.
A small point, and I believe Patrick will agree, is that those walls and curtains are just way too clean, and I don’t mean graffiti free - I mean dirt free! Add more dirt! :-)

Yes thank you. I agree. I'm still adding a few details like beercans and cigarette butts. I might even try and make one of the curtains "burned" and/or ripped.
Thanks for all the input from everyone! It's really intersting to note how many people I've talked to really seem to know their SWAT tactics. I tried my best to be as realistic as possible but unfortunately figure poses, a space constraint and the viewers vantage point limited my ability to do a "real" breach.
