Hi!
I like the idea, and I can see you have used a Dragon kit which is one of my favorites.
Some comments you can consider:
- I think there should be some more debris. Taken the ruin into consideration, it must be a quite big building, and the entire roof's gone. The pavement simply looks too clean.
- The ruin could use some more dusty appereance. I'm not sure if its the photo's quality, but the ruin almost looks shiny.
- Last but not least, to add much needed colour you could place a poster on the ruin.
The paintjob on the figgies are good, and I would like to see some closeups on that Hanomag. It looks to me that you have done some chip-paint that rocks!!!
In all, good work and keep it up.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks so much, Simon, for your kind comments and compliments. I'll forward them to "Art Instructor" - my modeler. The only Dragon kit used in this dio is the German Infantry (Ukraine 1943) figure set, you mean this one?.
It's too bad I didn't take any more close-up pics of this Hanomag, but you can view the other Hanomag's built by the very same modeler, for example :

Do they rock? and which one do you like most?

Hi Phaisal.
I think I like the one with the US paras. But they're all very well done. But its not often you see dios with paras (especially US), so thats why I pick that. :-)
And yes, it was the figures I was thinking about.
Thanks again for sharing

The devil is in the details! In the paratroop dio, you have signs indicating this is both 10 km from Sevastopol and 1000 km from Leningrad (St. Petersburg). This is a geographic impossibility as the cities are clser to 1800 km apart. This also places US troops somewhere in Eastern Europe, either the Ukraine (correct for Sevastopol), Poland, Estonia, Sweden, Finland or Russia proper which could only be done in an alternate history scenario.

Many thanks for more comments and compliments given since my previous post.
Jan, I think you're right about the uniform. But could it be that the soldiers were relocated from Italy to Africa, or the halftrack relocated from Africa to Italy?
Al, you have to understand that "Art Instructor" is a modeler, not a geographer or a historian. ;-)
Simon, that's the one I guess you would choose. Thanks for your answer.
