Well, my vignette is close to end, just one more wash on tracks left, and adding mud and dust when i place the tank and figure on the groundwork.

This is Zvezda Panzer I, a very decent kit, i had no large problems assembling it, some minor putty fixes are needed, nothing large. Tracks are rubber band, not too bad, have some tendency do drop off colour...

This vignette is my project for article in local hobby magasine "Hobby Master" in which i have my regular 2 pages column "How to?..." named "Sensei's Corner"

Pics

How do you like it?

For the use of Magasine, whole thingie is painted with brushes only

Hi Mirko!

Overall your tank looks great and you've done good job using your brushes! However for my personal taste rust is too red , I think that some dark brown wash szhould take care of it. Also there's too much rust on the return rollers as they have big rubber band around them and therefore shouldn't be as rusty.

Cheers,
Pedro

Very nice as always Mirko

Is there an electronic copy of Sensei's corner available anywhere? I'd love to read your SBS on this one!

Hi!
Very fine little model. Good job, and nice to hear that others than me (still?) uses the ole brushes.

As you probably know by now, the rust is to red. Dark brown or Humbrols 63 Leather is a good match for rust as well.

Good figgie as well - Italeri if I'm not mistaking. Maybe the only figure Italeri has made that actually can be used for something.

Good job in all

Nice looking Pz1b. This ex-Italeri kit holds up well after about thirty years

Italeri tracks are a pain in the butt to paint. Just a slight breeze near them and the paint flakes off.

Italeri needs to use a different material for thier tracks.

I too still use the old paint brushes.

nice work.

Especially with those damn brushes. I'm very happy with my airbrush you know .

Some minor comments;

I think the rust isn't very realistic. It's a little off color. Try some pastels or MIG 'rust" Try to make the rust irregular.(if you know what i mean).

Anw what about the color of the little thing.I'm not an expert but wasn't the color a litlle lighter? More blue-grey than dark-gray?.

Some minor comments. Nice work, keep em comming!!

Great work on a classic Pz Kpfw I Ausf B kit. Originally this was an Italeri kit ( Zvezda used the molds). Reminds me of some of the "old school" Verlinden works.

You can solve your rust problem with a dark brown (or a burnt umber). Maybe a dried mud look to the lower hull and suspension too.

Other then that, you did a great job. Will look forward to seeing how you make out with the groundwork.

Cheers !!

Nice job Mirko. If you did not mention that it was brush painted I would never have known....it looks like it was airbrushed.

Cheers
