I am looking for books on the sherman that u can buy at chapters the book store I already know about the book "Sherman in Action" and "Walk Around M4 Sherman" if you have any other books please let me know.

Osprey Vanguard also has some titles One title of theirs I reccomened is M4 (76mm) Sherman Medium Tank 1943-65 Here's a link to it

The Sherman "bible" is the book by RP Hunnicutt Sherman The History of the American Medium Tank. It retailed for about $80 but is OOP now and It runs around $200+.

Another Sherman "bible" for modelers is the MMiR Modeler's Guide to the Sherman by Ampersand Publishing. Originally retailing for about $20, it can draw up to $50 with one person actually paying over $100 for a copy.

A more reasonably priced modeling book is the Osprey Modelling Manual #14 M4 Sherman. It goes for around $15.

Another nice reference book is by George Forty, M4 Sherman. More like a mini-Hunnicutt book, it is well worth the $18.95 I paid for it back in the 1987-88 time frame.

Verlinden Warmachines #4, Israeli M4 Sherman and derivatives is a good reference for IDF Shermans.

I'm not very impressed by Chapters but here are some good titles of many wartime photos of Shermans:

"Sherman at War Pt 1" by Zaloga
"Sherman at War Pt 2" by Zaloga
"US Tank Battles In Germany" by Zaloga

All are published by Concord Publications.

You can buy "Medium Tank M4(76mm&105mm), Sherman and Firefly-from the collection Tanks in Detail by Ian Allan editors in Accurate Armour site for 12.99 pounds! The book is pretty good, in my point of view, and useful to find out more about the Sherman tanks!
