Hi folks
I got my Squadron sales flyer yesterday. In it, is a M4A3 [76 mm] Sherman from DML. The kit includes a metal barrel, 9 figures, among other stuff. This is the first time I've seen this kit anywhere. Is it a new release ? Can anyone tell me anything about it i.e. is it worth a look or should it be avoided etc. I've been looking for a mid to late war sherman for a project and am considering this one.
Thanks in advance for the help
Harry

Is this it? If it is, it was just released a month ago

The nine figures it talks about are older releases, but still good. Four of them are the 101st Airborne kit from the Ardennes, and the other five figures are the US Tank Crew kit. I got to look over this kit at the last model club meeting. It looks great.

I just ordered this kit from militaryhobbies up here in Canada. Its on sale for 39.95 CDN. I don't think it is a total new tooling...but has some new sprues and lots of extras. Seems like an alot of bang for your buck!

All the specific M4a3 parts are new toolings. Some of the sprues were included with the DML Russian M4A2 kit and the figure sprues are old. In effect it can be built as either an M4A2 or an M4A3 as both engine decks and rear hulls are included, although the angle of the hull rear is correct for an M4A3. It also has the option for either the round or oval loaders hatch. Which ever version you decide to build you'll have a ton of spares left over.

Hi all
Thanks guys. I think I have found my Sherman. The sales flyer has it for $ 34 and change. I think I'm going to check a few other online shops to see who's got the best price but I think I'm going with this version of the Sherman. Thanks again for the quick replys
