Some great looking figures you got there Why does the rifleman have black boots and the flamer have brown ones? Also ,it may be the pics,but the helmets look a bit glossy

Some fine work on those old Tamiya figures

Looks great
I always mentiont why are the same type of boots were brown or black?
I had such boots for myself.
Is it becouse the type of ground? for camouflage?

Still looks cool (uhhh hot :-) )

They're both still under the clear gloss coat just to seal the oils that I used for the figure.

Aren't some boot black? Didn't the US use both colors?

Pretty old figures really. It's just a waste not to use them.

As far as I know the boots for U.S. forces during W.W. 2 were all brown I may be mistaken

Black boots were not fielded till mid-way through the Korean war (about 1952). US was an all brown-boot army till that time.
