I thought I would take these out for a spin and see what you all had to say, comments most welcome. I know the photos are a bit rough but they are better than nothing...
Thanks,
Paul

Paul,
They look great, seems to me they would fit nicely in a Victorian style setting...
Great Job

Thanks Jay, Dennis I used what are called bead spacers. They are slightly curved disks to begin with, then I bent them further to create the dome. With the clear glue (used for aircraft canopies) I slowly built up the "glass" and let it dry clear. I used acrylic paint thinned with future floor wax to tint the glass. The base is a smaller bead spacer, with a brass tube for the stand.

Paul my friend,
what to say for those beauties.lets make them 1/1 and sell them
they look perfect as Victorian period lamps and they show a hard time work.

Thanks Engin, they were really simple to do, just a little time consuming in the begining. Now that I know how to build them it goes quite quickly. 1:1?
No Way! That wouldn't leave me any time to model!
