Does anyone have pics of the dragon wagon actually using it's crane? I have looked around and it seems that besides when the manual shows how to use the crane, there aren't any pics of the crane installed on any vehicles in service. Now I know it's used to mount and dismount the spare tire and to change flats, but I am wondering if it was ever used for anything else.

Good question Rob
I have also never seen pic`s for another use for the crane then chancing the tire.
But maybe they used them also for small repairs or maintenaince on the whinches??? fot the rest I can think of something else of that seeing the reach of this crane.

Rob and Ron,
It depends on which item you are calling the crane. If you are referring to the small block and tackle above the spare tire, Ron is right. It was mainly used for th spare and is too small for much else. If you are referring to the a-frame that can be raised off the back of the truck, it was very useful and could lift/pull up to 60 Tons. It was mainly used in the recovery role as a winch to pull and lift items out of ditches and other shallow depressions.
