Nice job Peter,
Are the tracks fruils? They look great.
I also like the sutle weathering and the chipping.
It looks like some paint or a wash has run on the superstructure in the second shot at the rear of the gun cleaning rod cannister.

Grypho,
Nice job! I'd go two thumbs up. Really like your camouflage job.
I think you should follow up on your thought of starting another. Can't have too many Jagd's or Panthers.

HI
Great job indeed
Now you should do an earlier overall "gelb" one.

The camo pattern looks just like the one on the box art of the 1330 Academy Jag ... awesome!
Very nice! What paint did you use?

Peter,
Great cammo. I am working on the overall gelb early version and your cammo makes we wish I had built the late version.
Will,
Click the "Campaigns" link at the top of the page. It will take you to the campaigns section of the site. And no, a Panther is not eligible for this campaign. It has to be a fully tracked purpose built tank detroyer.
More info in the campaign section.
HTH,
Shaun

Cheers and happy modelling!

Very nice indeed. I'd also like to know if they are the kit tracks or after market. Did you use any other after market bits and pieces?

G'day All,
Thanks for the "positive waves"......
I painted it with Vallejo Air 031 (Middle Stone), 041 (Tank Brown) and 012 (Dark Green).
Tracks were from Fiul - ATL-08, undercoated with Tamiya dark brown, dusted with Vallejo Dark Earth, then washed with a mix of Mig Pigs, then lightly sanded to bring out the highlights.
I also used Aber Grills (set 35G04) and Front fenders and side supports (set 35A24).
A Jordio Rubio barrel was thrown in for good measure, but this was a little dissapointing compared to the Eduard barrel which I have picked up to use on another Panther.
Markings were fromn Archers.
In all this is the most detailed / updated build I have ever done and am really please with it. (Only disappointment is the run in the was near the cleaning rod tube.....I don't to scrub it clean in case I go through the base coat)
Thanks..

One fine looking Jagdpanther...I like the camo and weathering. I'm just curious about the spare tracks, they a look too rusted considering that they were supposed to be "never" been used, just my opinion...
Cheers

Wow, that Jagdpanther looks awesome. Paintjob and weathering looks fantastic. Tracks look really really good.
The damage, on the right front fender, is a very nice detail.

Thanks All..
Arvin, I think you're right....the spare links did come out a bit too orange....the photo has shown them to be a bit worse than they are.....I'll have a go at making the effect more subtle....the Friul set left me with about 40 spare links.....

I now i have posted my impresions of the model earlier. But i find myself looking in this thread every time i log onto Armorama just to have another look at your model. It is stunning and i am 100% jealous that i am unable to create such an impresive model at this point! Hope you do, do another and post some progression pics up!
Well done again!

Excellent work on your Jagdpanther ! Nice job on the camo scheme, and I like the shades of the colors you chose. Tracks and the suspension are well done.
Maybe a little more weathering, but maybe you're building a factory fresh vehicle thats newly arrived at the front ? I do think those spare tracks on the rear of the vehicle are a bit too rusty, so if you toned it down with a dark wash of sort it would help it.
How come no pioneer tools ?
Cheers !!
