This is Dragon's Initial Tiger in a whinter camo finish. The tracks are not yet painted and are only for show. The basic painting is over and now it is down to the weathering once i have applied a gew layers of dull coat.

Hopefully i will have an engine to populate the open engine hatch soon, and i have two mechanics that i am going to add to this. Any thoughts or comments welcomed

Hawkeye, sent me a PM if you are looking for an engine. I have the engine from the Tamiya Mechanics set, and won't be using it.

And a live link of your picture

Cheers

Had a closer look in your gallery, and that's a sweet looking Tiger you got there. I like the way your exhaust have come out, very convincing. What is the internal detail of the turet like, it looks like those vision blocks are quite fiddely.

Cheers

Yes i like what you have done so far.but i would have first put a base coat of panzer grey, then applyed the white wash with some grey parts showing through.
Its not an easy task trying to replicate a winter white wash.or you could try a grey colour drybrush on the hull and turret edges that might work .

Good luck on your project, and post more as you progress.

hi,

Isn't this white-wash too clean? The wash was applied on the battlefield. This wash wasn't good "pain" at all!. Next time you attempt a whitewash try a panzer-gray or german yellow (depends ) before applying the white.Try drybrushing like Karl said or respray and re-apply the wash.It would help getting rid of the toyish appearance. if you leave the beast like it is now, try some rust ,engine, oil, muddy footprints,...

Hope to see the finnished kitty

Henk, thanks for the comments and i have sent you a message regarding the engine As for the detail in the cupola, it is not that fiddly as you can build the cupola before you put it on the turret, and after you excellent panzerwaffer 42, i would have thought you thrived on fiddly

Karl, thanks for replying. I did apply the grey first, but due to some of the blue tack lifting, without me noticing, i had to reapply the grey afterwards, hopefully it will not be so apparent later on.

Quinten, i have not done any serious weathering yet, this is at the pre weathering stage. I have spent most of today working on the tracks, and will start on the tank itself next weekend, hopefully then the filters and washes etc etc will have it looking less toy like

Thanks for taking the time to look and offer you comments guys!
