Hi Gang,

I'm about to begin a new Sherman project when my M-12 is finished. So I'm starting to gather all the info I need.
Here's my plan: I want to do a M4 Sherman with composite hull. I was looking in my reference books, but there wasn't much there. So I turned to the net....Not much!!
So if there's anyone who wants to share their knowledge with me, it would be highly appreciated!!
I'm looking for the combination of turrets with the composite hull, and offcourse a lot of pic's of the hull itself....

Thanks fot your time!!

Maybe a trip to Klein Willebroek (south of Antwerp) is called for to see the tank in the flesh?

Hi John ...I'd go with the CMD hull as it is the best one I've seen ...As for turrets ....you can use either a late low bustle turret without to pistol port ,or an early high bustle turret. You can get either one from Formations and I can highly recommend either one. The bogies that I have seen seam to be the late upswept type but I can't say for sure that they all had them. Here's a link to Mike Canady's site which has a few picture of composits both in the ETO and PTO...

Here are a few pictures I've picked up from the net...

Thank you Richard,

This was the info what I was looking for!! I've ordered some stuff from Formations a while ago, and I must say I was very pleased with their upgrade kits AND their service...
If anyone has more pics....let them come!!

John,
I kit bashed a Tamiya A3 Upper hull with a DML A1 hull to have an early type composite hull with the narrow drivers/co drivers hatches. This of course was some work but nobody makes this combination. Most compo's were the latter "big hatch" type but after seeing a couple of photos in the Honeycut book I had to do it. I used .10 fly tying wire for the prominet wels bead over the join line of the two kit hulls and toped it off with an early low bustle 75mm turett.
