Hi chapsyet another question, the front hatches on the M10 they dont lay flat like most tanks when open they appear to stand up.now Im building the academy version and want the hatchs in the open position, do I need to modify the hinges in any way, I ask this because in the building plans they show them laying flat.Can anyone give any advice on this. many thanks.

Not sure if the hatches should be modified, as Academy made some compromises with them, but there are a couple of photgraphs here showing how the open hatch looks on a real M10 (scroll down to the preserved vehicle)

Hi- the hatches do need a bit of persuasion to get into the right position.
If you look at the driver's hatch in this picture and then dry fit the hatch/hinge assembly onto the model you'll find there's a big difference.
You can actually use a pair of pliers to just twist the hinge into the right position, just be careful to make sure you twist the right way!
