hello,

Here are the pictures of the T-55 I intend to build for the S.I.K.FOR ya campaign.

It is in a line of serbian T-55A s.
The turret is identical to that of it's neighbours, but there are differences on the hull... There are no attachments for a mine clearing device.
So I understand this should be an early hull.
Now, my question is : do you think there should be attachments at the rear of the tank fuel drums and a tree trunk ?

My research show them to be everyway. The most likely though for this tank would be no fuel tanks. Just the unditching log.

The towing hooks and log should be there as they are standard on all vehicles and are not part of the "anti-mine" set..

It looks to me the fuel drum brackets are installed, if you look closely at the picture, just behind the orange tarp...

I have the WWP T-54/T-55 book also, I'll dig into it...

Thank you guys !

I've now spent a few more hours browsing through pictures and now I know the fuel drum brackets were found on tanks that had no mine clearing device attachments !

Yes, the engineering mounts, as they are called, can be installed or uninstalled on tanks. These mounts are what the minerollers, mineplows, dozer blades, etc... all mount to. Everything else should be standard on the T-55, depending on its model, like fuel brackets, unditching logs, tow hooks, fuel tanks, etc...

Now if it was a specially modified vehicle, all bets are off...
